This post needs to start with an admission – I Melanine Fraser used to be addicted to buying kids clothes! I couldn’t walk past a clothing department without a ‘look’ and invariably a purchase and I knew it had become out of hand when I opened the cupboard one day and was nearly knocked out cold by falling piles of clothes! This was a few years ago when Leo was much younger, and I couldn’t resist buying all the cute things I saw regardless of if he needed it! Nowadays I generally refresh his wardrobe once a season, getting rid of outgrown clothing and buying items more appropriate for the weather.

  

This means I get to go wild a few times a year and I always enjoy discovering new stores. Recently children’s clothing company Cherry Crumble by Nitt Hyman contacted me asking if I would like to choose a piece of clothing for Leo in return for an honest review and it was perfectly timed with my latest wardrobe refresh so of course I said yes!

Cherry Crumble is an online store specialising in children’s American style clothing. With sizes from 0-12yrs their store offers bright, colourful styles in a range of prints and patterns, with everything from casual daywear to pyjamas and accessories.

Given free rein to choose an item from the range I was like a kid in a candy shop and it took me a while to decide from an amazing collection of Cherry Crumble by Nitt Hyman. I eventually selected the Sporty Zip Down Sweater. I thought this would be perfect as part of Leo’s Autumn wardrobe for those chilly days when you need to throw an extra layer on top! Leo loves wearing hoodie style tops, so this offers a cute alternative for him.

The sweater is a close-knit style with a furry detail at the neck adding charm. The colours are wonderfully bright and vivid, exactly as pictured on the website and the material is extraordinarily soft. It’s not too heavy, making it ideal for layering. I also really like the green bunny Cherry Crumble by Nitt Hyman logo featured at the bottom. 

Before ordering any clothing I’m always conscious to assure myself for the sizing as it varies a lot between stores. In the picture Leo is wearing  size 7; just turned 5 so I would recommend sizing up especially if like me you like items to be slightly oversized. I think the sweater looks fabulous with a splash of colour to his Autumn wardrobe. I’m overwhelmed with the quality and because the temperature is cold it will be worn plenty of times.
